Update the Browser Extension

In this guide, we'll share how to keep your Rainbow Extension updated across all supported browsers.

Chrome:

Updates within Chrome should update automatically. In the event that you need to confirm/check that you're on the latest version, there are two routes within Chrome to take:

  1. You can head to the Chrome Webstore and if an update is needed, you'll see that displayed on the right-hand side: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/rainbow/opfgelmcmbiajamepnmloijbpoleiama

  2. You can also toggle Developer mode under chrome://extensions/ and click the update button at the top.

Brave:

Updates within Brave should update automatically. In the event that you need to confirm/check that you're on the latest version, you can follow the step below:

  1. You'll head to brave://extensions and toggle the Developer mode switch in the top right, where you should see a new bar of options, including an Update button. That should get you the latest versions of your extension.

Edge:

Updates within Edge should update automatically. Microsoft Edge automatically checks for updates of extensions every few hours. In the event that you need to confirm/check that you're on the latest version, you can follow the step below:

  1. You can head to to edge://extensions, turn on the Developer mode toggle, and then click the Update button.

Firefox:

In the event that updates do not automatically happen on Firefox, or those updates were not set up, you can follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Extensions panel.

  2. Click More to see the details page of a specific extension

  3. Click on the extension and select the Details tab.

  4. Find the Automatic Updates line. (You may need to scroll down the page).

  5. Select Update.

Arc:
