Locate Your UUID in Rainbow

UUID: Universal Unique Identifier

Within Rainbow, whether using the app or the extension, there is a a unique number associated with the wallet that is used to connect with our logs to see information such as crash reports.

This ID is not sensitive information and doesn’t share or reveal any of your secret phrases or private keys.

In this guide, we'll break down how to retrieve your UUID from both the app and the extension in order to better assist our support team!

Gathering Your UUID on the Rainbow App:

  1. Head to your Settings page within the app.

  2. Tap approximately 15 times on the version number that appears at the bottom.

    • If you do not see a separate screen pop-up, be sure to continue tapping on that version number.

  3. The UUID should be at the very top!

Gathering Your UUID on the Rainbow Extension:

  1. Open the Rainbow Extension and head to the Settings menu in the top Right hand corner.

  2. Scroll down to the version number at the bottom.

  3. Click two times on the version number.

  4. When successfully copied, you'll see a UUID copied pop-up appear.

Using CMD/CTRL + K:

You can also use our CMD/CTRL + K feature to gather your UUID.

  1. After opening the Rainbow Extension, use CMD/CTRL + K (see our guide for more helpful info).

  2. Type "diagnostics" in the search bar.

  3. Click Copy UUID and you'll see the UUID copied.
